KALA studios is a design and build firm based in the suburbs of Washington D.C. Serving the greater Washington D.C. area as well as Philadelphia and New York and the rest of the world.

Founded by head designer Kaleo Kala in earlier 2008, KALA studios has been busy designing and building beautiful contemporary furniture. Specializing in clean lines and beautiful forms and meaningful function, our furniture can fit into almost any environment.

Kaleo has always had an appreciation for all thing beautiful. Growing up with influences from both his father and grandfather who were both masters craftsman. Kaleo decided to go in a different direction with his artistic endeavors. Kaleo spent 2 years training in furniture design and building at the University of Tasmannia in Tasmania, Australia. Upon returning to the states he worked for world renowned furniture design manufacturing company BDDW.

Now KALA studios is about making the world a cooler place, one design at a time.
