when I was growing up, I wanted to be a lot of different things. First thing that I remember wanting to be was what a lot of little boys wanted to be, Superman. I thought that would be the coolest job on the planet. Of course through the years to follow that dream changed and changed again. There were many dreams, policeman, fireman, astronaut, doctor, lawyer, pro football player and telemarketer. OK maybe that last one was more of a nightmare. But never would I have thought that my dream would end up wanting to be a furniture designer.
I know that some of you that are reading this may remember me from my former blogging days at Kaleo’s Workshop. But for those of you that didn’t follow me there, I am Kaleo Kala.
At this point in my life I am embarking on designing my future in the furniture design world. My dreams have taken me from my basement garage fixing and repairing furniture to Australia where I was classically trained in Furniture design and making, then to a professional furniture manufacturers shop in Philadelphia and now to my own shop in the suburbs of Washington D.C. I hope you follow along in this journey. My plans for this blog are to bring you the new and exciting news from my studio as well as the new and cool things happening in the design world as I see them. I hope you enjoy the ride with me, feel free to leave a comment or send me an email with any questions or ideas for posts.
